SAINTS are said to be interested in signing Aleksandar Mitrovic, according to a report in the Daily Express.
The report suggests that Fulham will be demanding a £30 million transfer fee for the striker who has netted 11 goals in the Premier League this season.
Mitrovic, 24, was unable to keep the Cottagers in the top-flight, with his side being relegated down to the Championship.
This has led to a number of clubs declaring their interest in the Serb.
Saints are said to be joined by West Ham in making a move for the striker who recently said he wants to finish his career at Fulham.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side will splash out £18 million to sign Danny Ings on a permanent deal from Liverpool this summer.
But with Shane Long out of contract next season, and with Charlie Austin struggling to get into the team, Hasenhuttl could look to bolster his attacking options.
