EVERTON are considering making a move for Mario Lemina, according to a report in the Liverpool Echo.

The Saints midfielder has made it clear that he wants to leave St Mary's this summer, having spent two years on the south coast.

It's claimed that the Merseyside club are on the hunt for a replacement as Idrissa Gueye has completed his £28m move to French giants Paris Saint Germain.

The report suggests that Everton would offer around £20m for Lemina's services, which would see Saints making a profit on the former Juventus player.

Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has taken the 25-year-old off the first team schedule, which means he has had to train away from the squad.

The midfielder has also lost his spot in the club's Staplewood changing room, along with fellow outcast Charlie Austin.

Lemina initially joined the St Mary's outfit in 2017 for £15m and has made 49 appearances, scoring just once.
