SAINTS boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has undergone a 'minor procedure' following a leg injury.

It means that the Austrian won't be in the dugout for this afternoon's final pre-season match against FC Koln.

The rest of his first team coaches will instead be leading the team at St Mary's.

An official Saints statement read: "First team manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has undergone a minor procedure on a leg injury in a local hospital and will therefore not be in the dugout for today's friendly match against FC Koln.

"Ralph has prepared the team all week and plans have been set for our coaching staff to take charge of the game.

"He will be watching and influencing the game via video link, and will be back at Staplewood when the players return to training for the build-up to the Premier League opener next week."
