RACHEL Giles-Knott has won return flights on ‘Le Tiss Air’ and two tickets to watch Manchester City v Saints next month.

The competition, which is being organised by eToro, was live on the Daily Echo’s website and in the newspaper for a week.

It gave readers the opportunity to enter for their chance to win the excellent prize, with Rachel being selected at random.

Speaking to the Daily Echo, the Saints fan said: “I am incredibly happy.

“I wasn’t expecting it at all – I don’t think I’ve ever won anything!

“I entered on the off chance that it might be a nice present for my brother, an early Christmas present or something similar.

“I saw the competition on Facebook and thought I’d give it a go and see if anything came from it.

“It’s really exciting.”

eToro’s giveaway was inspired by a report that is due to be published later this month, in association with the KPMG Football Benchmark team, which looks at the overall cost of being a football fan.

And with November’s trip to Manchester City being one of the longest away days for Saints supporters, their prize will go a long way to helping two lucky Daily Echo readers.

Rachel’s brother, Nicholas, is a big fan of Saints, although he often leaves his sister at home when he goes to watch them play.

Because of this, the competition winner was thrilled to announce that she planned on taking Nicholas to the game in order to surprise him.

“My brother is a big Saints fan and he watches them often, but he normally takes his friends,” added Rachel.

“However, this time it will be me taking him.

“He will be delighted.”

Last time the St Mary’s side travelled to the Etihad Stadium it proved to be a tough watch for Saints fans due to the Premier League champions hitting them for six.

She added: “It might be a difficult afternoon for Saints but I’m hoping it will be a good match to watch.

“They can only do their best.”
