SAINTS duo Cedric and Moussa Djenepo have been continuing their road to recovery.

The Portuguese defender took to social media to show the pair being put through their paces at the club’s Staplewood Campus.

It would hand boss Ralph Hasenhuttl a huge boost ahead of this weekend’s tough trip to Wolves should they return in time.

Djenepo, who won the Premier League’s Goal of the Month for September with his effort against Sheffield United, has missed the last four games.

The summer signing injured a muscle in his hip, with Hasenhuttl explaining before the Chelsea match that he is unable to shoot.

As well as discussing the extent of Djenepo’s setback, the Saints boss also revealed that there wasn’t a timeframe for when he would return.

However, there’s an argument that the international break came at the perfect time for the Mali international as it meant he could continue his recovery without missing any more action.

The £14m man has already become a crucial cog in the Saints machine thanks to his goals against Brighton and Sheffield United.

Not only has he shown an eye for the back of the net, but Djenepo has also proved to have a devastating impact when running at defender due to his pace and trickery.

Cedric, on the other hand, has been missing since the defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

He was named in the starting XI for the tip but sustained an injury in the warm-up which prevented him from taking part.

Following the conclusion of the match, Hasenhuttl admitted he wasn’t sure why the defender couldn’t play.

But when the dust had settled, the Austrian explained that Cedric had suffered a calf injury.

This meant he had to miss the home tie with Chelsea prior to the international break, although the video he uploaded to social media shows he is making good progress.

Cedric has been a changed man at Saints since returning from his loan spell in Italy with Inter Milan, with Hasenhuttl rewarding him with a regular spot in the first-team.
