ON-loan Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster produced another brilliant performance for Celtic as they reached the Europa League's knock-out stage with an historic 2-1 win away to Lazio.

Forster was outstanding at Parkhead two weeks ago, when Celtic won 2-1 against the Italian giants.

He pulled off several more world-class stops in the Stadio Olimpico as Celtic repeated that result to go through to the last 32 as Group E winners.

Lazio star Marco Parolo told Sky Italia: "In Europe if you give away one chance you'll be punished, that isn't always the case in Italy. Their goalkeeper was decisive again."

Olivier Ntcham scored Celtic's stunning late winner.

The French midfielder came off the bench for Ryan Christie in the second-half with the game at 1-1, after James Forrest's strike had cancelled out Ciro Immobile's early opener for the home side.

As both sides went for the winner Ntcham latched on to an Odsonne Edouard pass in the fifth of five added minutes and dinked the ball over keeper Thomas Strakosha to guarantee Celtic a place in the last-32 of the Europa League with two Group E fixtures remaining.

It was also Celtic's first win on Italian soil in 13 attempts.
