ORIOL Romeu has called for fans to be given access all areas if the Premier League season returns behind closed doors.

The Saints midfielder reckons broadcasters should be allowed to place a camera in the dressing rooms.

There is yet to be a clear plan as to how the Premier League campaign will be finished but all the noise suggests matches will be played without supporters.

And Romeu hopes his idea would help ease the pain for fans having to watch online as opposed to being inside the ground.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Romeu said: “The welfare of the people has to be a priority, but I would like the Premier [League] to resume.

“They took it away from us suddenly and it’s fair to finish it. But I understand that 40,000 people will not be able to enter the stadiums overnight.

“Fans are other weighty players in this business. Without them there is no atmosphere, and without an atmosphere there is less emotion.

“Perhaps to compensate them, cameras can be introduced inside the locker room to make them feel closer to everything.”
