DARREN Bent believes Che Adams should sign for Leeds if he's given the chance to.

The Championship side were keen to land Adams from Saints in January but Ralph Hasenhuttl had no interest in letting the striker go.

Before the coronavirus pandemic led to football being paused, the striker had been playing second fiddle to Danny Ings.

Adams is yet to score for Saints in his 27 appearances.

Speaking to Football Insider, ex-England ace Bent thinks the former Birmingham striker should leave.

He said: “It’s a sad one because I really like Che Adams, I’ve been a big fan of his but for whatever reason, it’s just not happened for him.

“Unfortunately, it’s just one of those things where it hasn’t worked.

"For me, I would like to see him go somewhere like Leeds and play – I would have liked to see him work out at Southampton but if not, then maybe go somewhere else.”
