RALPH Hasenhuttl's revealed his pre-season plans are coming together.

The club will play their final game of the season at home to Sheffield United on Sunday before the players are sent away for a break.

A possible September 12 start date has been mooted for the 2020/21 campaign.

“If this is the date of the first game then we have seven weeks," said Hasenhuttl.

“We will have to find a good balance of giving the guys time off and working together with a training schedule.

“We will have a look at what we will do, and we are planning the schedule about what we want to do."

Hasenhuttl also explained how he'd feel comfortable giving his players extra time off during the post-season.

He trusts them to come back in excellent shape, as they did when returning from lockdown.

“The good thing is, which I’ve spoken about before, is that my players, even if they are off, will do their job and come back fit," the Austrian added.

“You can give them more time off because you know they will be in good shape when they come back and that is really helpful for me to know this and also for our athletic coaches.

“We have another chance to win and maybe one more win is another day off.”
