RALPH Hasenhuttl hailed Saints’ 2019/20 season as “unbelievable” after they ended the campaign in style.
A Che Adams brace and a Danny Ings penalty saw them come from behind to beat Sheffield United after John Lundstram opened the scoring.
The win took Saints into 11th place and saw them finish in 52 points, six more than Claude Puel managed in 2016/17.
Reflecting on the season, Hasenhuttl said: “It’s amazing, especially after lockdown. What we did was unbelievable.
“The way we play in the moment means it’s not a coincidence we are winning games.
“We are very strong and if we keep working like this and come back fitter after the break you and you can see the team is learning quick.
“Wins give you self-confidence, but we must also play like this when we have pressure.
“The players are really enjoying it.”

Hasenhuttl also revealed he's looking forward to a few days off before getting ready for the new season.
He added: “I cannot say I don’t have the energy, but I will really enjoy a few days with my family.
“I will get some energy back and will then be even more pushing next season.”
