SAINTS are reportedly in the hunt for two new players - but may be put off by a £25m price tag.
A national newspaper has linked Saints with Nottingham Forest right-back Matty Cash, saying he could be asked to play in defence or as a winger if needed.
West Ham are rumoured to have been interested in the 22-year-old in the past, and he would cost Saints about £12m.
The Slough-born player has made more than 140 appearances for Forest, scoring 13 goals.
There are also suggestions that Saints are interested in American midfielder Weston McKennie, who currently plays for German side Schalke 04.

The 21-year-old has also appeared in the USA national team, but the Bundesliga side has reportedly slapped a £25million price tag on the young player.
