WORK is currently underway to make a number of renovations to Barrow AFC’s stadium in time for the club’s long-awaited return to the Football League.
Staff are reportedly working around the clock to ensure David Dunn’s side are able to welcome their new opponents to a venue that fits the bill for the country’s top outfits.
Among the changes currently being made are a fanzone that is under construction, a new irrigation and drainage system for the playing surface, and a new roof that has gone over the Holker Street end.
