SAINTS youngsters have been drawn to face Northampton Town, MK Dons and Stevenage in the EFL Trophy.
The academy side will take on League One and League Two opposition as one of 15 invited Premier League teams to this year's competition.
And Saints will compete in Group C of the southern section against Northampton and MK Dons of the third tier and Stevenage from the level below.
Saints finished bottom of their group in the competition last season, narrowly losing games against Walsall, Coventry City and Forest Green Rovers.
EFL Trophy fixtures are due to commence during the week beginning September 7.
Matchday two is scheduled for w/c October 5, with the final round of games from November 9.
