SAINTS striker Shane Long has been named in the Republic of Ireland’s 23-man squad for Nations League games away to Bulgaria and home against Finland next month.
Long has been listed alongside fellow forwards Callum Robinson, Callum O’Dowda, James McClean, Aaron Connolly, Adam Idah and Troy Parrott in boss Stephen Kenny’s group.
The Boys in Green will take on Bulgaria in Sofia on September 3 before a home game against Finland at Aviva Stadium on September 6.
Former Saint David McGoldrick will join the squad for the Finland game, pending the assessment of a long-term foot injury.
Long, 33, has played 82 times for Ireland at senior level, scoring 17 goals.
