SAINTS defender Jannik Vestergaard has been named in new Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand’s first squad.

The centre-half could be involved when the Danes take on Belgium and England in Nations League fixtures next month.

Denmark will host both sides in Copenhagen as they begin their Group A2 campaign, with the battle against the world’s number one ranked team in Belgium on Saturday, September 5.

They will then host Gareth Southgate’s side at the same venue on Tuesday, September 8.

Vestergaard, who has won 16 senior international caps, will be part of the Danish outfit which meet up in Elsinore on Monday.

Meanwhile, Saints loanee Mohamed Elyounoussi has been named in the Norway squad for next month’s games against Austria and Northern Ireland.

The winger, currently on loan at Celtic, scored twice in the Glasgow club’s 6-0 Champions League victory over KR Reykjavik last week.

Norway host Austria in the Nations League on Friday, September 4, before making the trip to Northern Ireland on Monday, September 7.
