SAINTS are one of nine clubs reportedly interested in signing Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.

The highly-rated teenager is yet to represent the Gunners at first-team level, but has just a year remaining on his contract at Emirates Stadium.

Balogun, 19, has been prolific at under-23s level and according to Sky Sports, Arsenal turned down an £8million bid from Brentford for him earlier this summer.

But according to The Beautiful Game Podcast, Saints, alongside fellow Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, retain "strong interest" in the New York-born forward.

Balogun, who has represented and scored for both England and USA at international youth level, is also being linked with clubs across Europe including Stuttgart, Werder Bremen, Eintracht Frankfurt, AC Milan, Roma, PSV and AZ Alkmaar.
