SAINTS skipper James Ward-Prowse has been handed his first start for England.
The 25-year-old is set to line-up in central midfield for the UEFA Nations League opener in Iceland (5pm).
Ward-Prowse has two previous caps for the Three Lions, both as late substitute appearances.
His Saints team-mate Danny Ings has been named among the substitutes by boss Gareth Southgate.
England: Pickford, Walker, Gomez, Dier, Trippier, Rice, Ward-Prowse, Sterling, Foden, Sancho, Kane.
Subs: Alexander-Arnold, Mings, Keane, Coady, Maitland-Niles, Phillips, Grealish, Mount, Greenwood, Ings, Pope (g/k), Henderson (g/k).
