CLUB Brugge are the latest club linked with a move for Saints defender Wesley Hoedt.
The Dutchman does not appear to be part of Ralph Hasenhuttl's plans for the upcoming season, currently without a squad number after midfielder Oriol Romeu took his number six shirt.
Hoedt, 26, has not played for Saints since 2018, instead spending time out on loan at Celta Vigo and Royal Antwerp.
And now a report in Belgian outlet HLN claims Club Brugge are keen on the centre-back.
However, they claim Belgium's top clubs are unable to meet the £7.3million asking price, meaning a loan would be their preference.
Hoedt has also been linked with a move to Anderlecht and AZ Alkmaar during this transfer window.
He joined Saints from Lazio for £15million in 2017.
