CHRISTCHURCH fought from a goal down to stun Dorchester Town and progress into the second qualifying round of the FA Cup - the furthest the club has ever reached.
Two leagues separated the Priory from their Southern League opponents, and the gap was barely noticeable – even after Tom Blair’s scything run and shot put the visitors 1-0 up at Hurn Bridge.
Christchurch equalised with a scrappy own goal for the second before Harvey Wright lashed home in the 90th minute to upset the odds.
The result came against a full-strength Dorchester side, with Christchurch now awaiting Friday's draw.
Joining them in the next round are Southern League South outfit Wimborne Town.
James Stokoe's men survived a late comeback to win 3-2 at Barnstaple Town.
Goals from Luke Holmes and Charlie Gunson put Magpies in control at half-time, with Jack Lovell adding a third.
The hosts reduced the arrears with goals from Nathan Cooper and Harry Clarke, but Wimborne progressed.
Poole Town were given a bye after Merthyr Town forfeited.
