RALPH Hasenhuttl is confident he will add to his Saints squad before the transfer window closes.
Only Kyle Walker-Peters and Mohammed Salisu came through the door earlier this summer, with the latter yet to feature in a matchday squad as he gets up to speed following his arrival from Real Valladolid.
The transfer window for overseas transfers closes at 11pm on October 5, with the time allowed for domestic deals extending through to October 16.
Asked if he would be happy to go into the rest of the season with the squad he currently has available, Hasenhuttl said: "No, I wouldn’t. But I know that we will get players in.
"Now comes the moment where I think some good opportunities are coming up, also maybe for us.
"I think the players who were our number one choice, it was not so easy for us to get them.
"But I think there are some other alternatives where we are still keen when they are coming to us, be it on loan or permanent.
"Either way I think we know we need a few, one or two players minimum we must get, maybe three."
