TONY Lee struck the second-half winner as Poole Town continued their perfect start in Southern League South.

Taking on Hayes & Yeading United at Tatnam, goals from Lee and Bailey Rowe were enough for a 2-1 win.

Dolphins made no changes from the opening-day win at Beaconsfield Town and they almost got off to the ideal start with Luke Burbidge striking the post after two minutes.

The hosts got their noses in front midway through the first half as Bailey Rowe skipped around goalkeeper Jack Smith before tapping in.

Hayes made a double switch at the break and they paid off with the visiting side equalising just past the hour mark through Francis Amartey.

But Dolphins battled back, sealing victory when Lee volleyed in a deep Burbidge cross.

Elsewhere, Wimborne Town remain at the foot of the embryonic league table following a 1-0 home loss to Chesham United.

Magpies produced an improved display on the 5-0 thrashing at Tiverton Town last time out, but succumbed to an 81st-minute Bradley Clayton strike at Cuthbury.
