RALPH Hasenhuttl revealed how he has already had “a few good sessions” working with Theo Walcott and added: “We will have a lot of fun with him.”

The winger, who last featured for Saints as a 16-year-old, first returned home to Staplewood on Monday to train having agreed a switch back to the club on a season-long loan from Everton.

He could be included in Saints’ squad for Saturday’s Premier League trip to Chelsea (3pm).

Speaking about former Arsenal star Walcott, the Saints boss said: “He had no game time in the end at Everton so there was a chance to get him here.

“If you have the chance to get such a player who is still hungry and still wants to learn, who has quality without a doubt. He is definitely a player who makes us better.

“The problem will be in the beginning maybe that he must adapt to our game. We know that we play a little bit different. A little bit more ball orientated.

“I think he's a quick learner though. We had a very intense first week together, a few good meetings and a few good sessions.

“It was good to work with him this week and very looking forward to have him here and I'm sure that we will have a lot of fun with him.”

Walcott has played 24 times against Chelsea throughout his career, scoring on six occasions and registering two assists.
