RALPH Hasenhuttl is yet to decide whether Danny Ings will make his return from injury against Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday.
The striker has missed the past three matches having undergone minor knee surgery, following a collision in the victory at Aston Villa on November 1.
But the 28-year-old has now returned to training and could feature at the Amex.
Asked if Ings was fit to face the Seagulls, Hasenhuttl said: "We must have a look. Yesterday was the first time he was training with the team.
"He looks good. We must look how his body reacts to the training and then we can say more.
"But it looked good yesterday, yes."
In Ings's absence, Saints picked up four points with a win over Newcastle and draw against Wolves, before losing to Manchester United.
England striker Ings has netted five goals in his seven Premier League appearances this season.
