SAINTS forward Tyreke Johnson has sealed a loan move to join League One Gillingham for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old arrives at Priestfield Stadium alongside Saints youngster Tom O’Connor, who has played 13 times for the Gills this campaign.
Johnson joins a Gillingham outfit who are currently 14th in their respective division.
Gills boss Steve Evans told the club website: “We are delighted to have signed Ty on loan.
“He is an exciting prospect and I have no doubt he will fit in well with our current group.
“He is very quick, direct, hungry, and will cause defences a lot of problems in our division.
“Our intention is to make this deal permanent which will give us more flexibility in the loan market over the next few weeks."
Johnson was handed his senior debut for Saints under Ralph Hasenhuttl in 2018-19, making one appearance in the Premier League against Arsenal and a further two in the FA Cup.
He has also spent time on loan in America with USL Championship side Hartford Athletic.
Johnson played 90 minutes for Saints B team in the EFL trophy this season, helping Dave Horseman’s side to a 2-1 victory over MK Dons.
