SAINTS’ clash at home to Shrewsbury Town in the third round of the FA Cup has been rescheduled for Tuesday (8pm) – with the Premier League fixture against Leeds now set to be moved.
The cup tie had been initially due to be played last Saturday but was postponed by the Football Association after a number of positive COVID-19 tests at the League One club.
Following discussions since then, it has been agreed the fixture will take place on Tuesday, with kick-off at 8pm.
The clash will be broadcast live on BT Sport.
This also means that Saints’ scheduled visit to Leeds on Wednesday, January 20, will be moved as a result. The club say a new date will be confirmed in due course.
The winner of the third-round cup tie will advance to host Arsenal in the fourth round, with those fixtures due to take place on the weekend of January 23.
