Bradley Wright-Phillips may have earned Saints a point at Coventry with his second goal in two games.
But he was left rueing the one that got away.
Wright-Phillips has scored with headers in back-to-back games for Saints and on Saturday it brought his side level for a 1-1 draw.
But that didn't stop him reflecting on a chance he missed which was arguably easier than the one he tucked away.
With 12 minutes remaining, Wright-Phillips' clever run was picked out by Andrew Surman.
But in the clear with just the keeper to beat, the striker missed the target.
He said: "When Drew gets the ball you know to make a forward run because he's got a great left foot.
"It was a good first touch and I thought I could have touched it again, but I was so tired and I needed to relax.
"I'll never miss one like that again.
