RALPH Hasenhuttl is wary of Saints being dragged into a scrap for survival, admitting: "With 30 points you are relegated, definitely."
Saints are currently enduring a wretched run in the Premier League, losing seven of their past eight matches, drawing the other.
That alarming drop in form has seen Hasenhuttl's side tumble down the table. Having topped the standings in November, Saints currently sit 14th, eight points clear of the bottom three.
Asked if that is something he has to be aware of given the club's recent struggles, Hasenhuttl said: "We look to come back to win a game, this is tough enough in the Premier League. We know this.
"You don’t have to tell us how far away we are from the relegation zone. With 30 points you are relegated, definitely. We will not stay in the league.
"We have to win games, we have 13 left. But it’s not about jumping over the line in the last games, it’s about coming as quick as possible back to a winning team.
"We have this potential, but it’s not enough to know this, it’s important to show this.
"This is what we have to do in the next weeks."
