RALPH Hasenhuttl hopes to have Ibrahima Diallo available for Saints' trip to Sheffield United next weekend, with Kyle Walker-Peters also not far away from a return.
The pair are currently part of a lengthy injury list at Saints, which has this week been added to by Oriol Romeu (ankle) and Takumi Minamino (hamstring).
Walker-Peters has not played since home defeat to Wolves on February 14 due to a hamstring problem, while a muscle issue has ruled out Diallo since January.
All four, along with Will Smallbone (knee) and Michael Obafemi (leg muscle), as well as loanee Theo Walcott (leg muscle), who would have been ineligible anyway, will miss Monday night's game at Everton.
However, Hasenhuttl hopes some could return for the game at Bramall Lane on March 6.
Asked for an update on his injured cohort, the boss said: "Diallo, maybe Sheffield. Walker-Peters, Sheffield may be a little bit too early.
"Theo Walcott will be after the international break maybe. Obafemi next year, Smallbone next season, Oriol Romeu next season.
"Taki Minamino next week, if you want the good news!"
