THE Saints Foundation’s All In This Together online event raised £25,000 for the charity to continue transforming lives in and around Southampton.

More than 400 guests joined the online broadcast from the comfort of their own homes, watching Saints legends past and present join host Kenzie Benali for an evening of laughter, entertainment and interviews.

Saints stars from far and wide came together in support of the charity, including legendary former manager Lawrie McMenemy, club record holder Terry Paine and current first team players James Ward-Prowse and Danny Ings.

The managers of Saints’ men’s and women’s sides, Ralph Hasenhuttl and Marieanne Spacey-Cale, also joined for a live interview at St Mary’s.

Viewers at home enjoyed watching Saints legends Matt Le Tissier and Franny Benali go head-to-head in a legends cooking challenge.

There were also live performances from musician Charley Stride and comedian Tom Deacon, as well as emotional stories from participants who spoke about how the Saints Foundation have changed their lives.

Lucky auction winners also won a spot playing alongside ex-Saints James Beattie and Wayne Bridge in a match at St Mary’s this summer, both of whom joined on the night.

The night raised £23,310 from ticket sales, auctions and donations, while Saints generously donated a further £1,690 to round the total up an astonishing £25,000.

This money will be used to continue transforming lives in and around Southampton at a time when the Foundation’s support has never been more vital.

Head of the Saints Foundation Greg Baker said: “We are exceptionally proud of our online event and the way our supporters have come through for us once again.

“After missing out on so many vital fundraising opportunities in the past 12 months, we worked really hard to create this online experience, with the aim of not just raising money, but also bringing some joy to us all during these difficult times.

“It was a fantastic night and thank you so much to everyone who contributed to that incredible final total. Everyone at Saints Foundation is so grateful.”

*Saints Foundation would like to also thank the event sponsor, Barratt David Wilson Homes, and long-term Foundation supporter, Gordon Browning, for their very generous support.
