GOALS from Lucia Kendall, Rachel Panting and Rosie Parnell saw Saints progress to the third round of the Women’s FA Cup.

Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side were featuring in their first contest in almost four months due to lockdown restrictions.

Despite having seen their FA Women’s National League Division One South West campaign declared null-and-void, Saints’ cup aspirations are still alive as they overcame Plymouth Argyle 3-0 at Snows Stadium.

Saints took the lead after 34 minutes when Milly Mott’s ball from deep found Kendall to convert.

A precise free-kick played in by Caitlin Morris then allowed Panting to nod in at the back post and put the hosts well in command.

And the tie was wrapped up 13 minutes from time when Parnell converted on the rebound after Phoebe Williams saw her initial effort saved.

Saints are set to host Yeovil in the next round on Sunday. The winners of that tie will face a trip to Lewes in round four.
