BOSS Ralph Hasenhuttl has again been left sweating on the fitness of striker Danny Ings after he was forced off in Saints’ 2-1 defeat to Tottenham.
The England international was replaced by Ibrahima Diallo after 57 minutes of the encounter in north London and appeared to have ice on his thigh during the second half.
Asked for an update on the frontman, Hasenhuttl said: “Hopefully he is not too injured.
“I don’t know. I don’t know his situation.”
Ings has been plagued by injury this campaign, having previously suffered a knee problem at Aston Villa in November.
The former Liverpool striker has also had to recover after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this campaign.
He then sustained a groin injury at Sheffield United last month.
Ings put Saints ahead on 30 minutes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, before Gareth Bale and Heung-Min Son turned the tables for interim boss Ryan Mason’s side.
