LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp revealed his side had “a few bumps and bruises” ahead of their clash with Saints.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men are set to head to Anfield tomorrow (8.15pm), to take on a Reds team who have not been in action since April 24.

Last season’s champions saw their scheduled clash at Manchester United on Sunday postponed due to fan protests at Old Trafford.

Despite their break in fixtures, Klopp revealed he would still have to make “late decisions” regarding his side.

“The injury situation, nothing is really new. We have a few bumps and bruises, we have to make late decisions in a few positions,” added Klopp.

The postponement allowed centre-back Nat Phillips another week to get fit and he is likely to return to the side to face Saints.

On Phillips, he said: “Yes, the week helped him for sure. Absolutely. He was fit yesterday.”
