Saints are reportedly tracking Nice striker Evann Guessand
SAINTS and Newcastle are reportedly “battling to sign” talented Nice teenager Evann Guessand.
The Daily Mail claim the French striker is being looked at by the Premier League clubs, having impressed during a loan spell at Lausanne Sport in Switzerland this season.
Guessand, 19, has scored seven times and registered four assists in the Swiss Super League this campaign, helping his loan club to fifth spot in the table.
He found the net during a 2-2 draw with FC Zurich on Sunday.
Guessand made three substitute appearances for Nice in Ligue 1 earlier this campaign before being loaned out.
The teenager has represented France through the age group systems, up to under-18 level.
