CHE Adams hailed his Scotland team-mates for producing an "amazing performance" to earn a draw against England at Wembley.

Saints striker Adams started the Euro 2020 Group D contest, playing 85 minutes of the 0-0 stalemate, a result which keeps Scotland's hopes of qualification for the last 16 alive.

England dominated possession, but golden chances were well split between the two home nations.

Adams, making his sixth senior international appearance, himself saw one of Scotland's better openings well blocked by John Stones early on in the goalless contest.

Scotland remain at the foot of Group D, but know victory over Croatia at Hampden Park on Tuesday night should be enough to get into the knockout stages.

Asked to describe the emotions of the experience at Wembley, with thousands of vocal Scotland fans having made the trip south of the border in support of Steve Clarke's side, Adams said: "I can’t put it into words to be honest.

"It was an amazing performance from everyone.

"We worked so hard to get the point and maybe we could’ve even nicked it in the end with a couple of chances we had.

"But we kept going and showing resilience to get the draw in the end."
