FREE agent Ethan Ross is reportedly training with Saints in the view of landing a dream Premier League move, after leaving Aberdeen in the summer.

The 19-year-old winger was offered a new deal by the Scottish club but decided to leave, and The Daily Record are reporting that he has been training with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side for the past couple of weeks.

According to the publication, Saints are looking at him with the view of putting him into the development squad, and if he is offered a contract it would reportedly see the Dons land a six-figure compensation sum.

Ross had been with his former side since he was 10, captained the under-18s and made 14 first team appearances between 2018-21.

To add, Ross has represented Scotland up to under-19 level, and had two loan experiences with Scottish Championship teams Dunfermline Athletic and Raith Rovers – although he was recalled early by Aberdeen during the latter spell.

The Dons experienced a similar situation in 2013, when highly rated winger Ryan Fraser left to join Cherries.
