SAINTS chairman Leon Crouch has rubbished weekend reports linking the club with Iranian businessman Kia Joorabchian.
A national newspaper claimed Joorabchian was involved in a consortium considering a £50m takeover bid at St Mary's.
But Crouch, the recently re-installed chairman of Saints' football board, told the Echo last night the speculation was "totally and utterly" without foundation.
The New Forest businessman is confident, though, new investment can be brought into Saints which has the long-term interests of the club at heart.
"I am a very positive person," said Crouch.
"I am convinced the right investment deal can be found for this club within the next three to six months.
"First, though, we must concentrate on matters on the field.
"I firmly believe we have a squad fully capable of getting us into the play-offs."
