LA LIGA side Levante have announced a pre-season friendly with Saints at St Mary’s on Wednesday August 4 (7pm).
The Spanish outfit, known as The Frogs, published details of the fixture on their club website although an official announcement followed shortly after from Saints.
The match comes days before Ralph Hasenhuttl's men are due to welcome another Spanish team in Athletic Bilbao (August 7), and adds to upcoming fixtures Cardiff City (July 27) and Swansea City (July 31).
Levante finished 14th in the Spanish top-flight last season, following promotion from Segunda Division at the end of 2016-17.
They also reached the last 16 of the Europa League in 2012-13 and although haven’t quite reached that modern peak in recent years, will represent a good test and an unknown quantity for Hasenhuttl’s side.
The club reveal ticket details will follow 'in due course'.
