Saints have drawn Norwich or Bury in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
George Burley's side defeated Leicester 2-0 at St Mary's on Saturday to be in this afternoon's draw and have their wish of another home tie.
Elsewhere Havant & Waterlooville will travel to Luton or Premiership giants Liverpool if they can overcome Swansea in a replay while Portsmouth will face Plymouth at Fratton Park.
The ties are due to be played over the weekend of January 26 and 27 but the fact that both Portsmouth and Southampton have been drawn at home will mean one fo the games could potentially be switched to the Sunday for police reasons.
