A FIRST club hat-trick for in-form striker Lewis Beale saw Wimborne Town safely into the second qualifying round of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win at Blackfield & Langley.

Beale broke the deadlock on 18 minutes, but a missed penalty from Charlie Gunson ensured the game remained tight going into the break.

However, Beale struck twice more after the restart to ensure a comfortable victory against their Wessex Premier opponents at Gang Warily.

The first goal arrived when a corner was only half cleared as far as Curtis Young, who crossed for Beale to volley home at the back post.

A frantic first half should have yielded a second goal for the Southern Premier South outift. Harry Morgan was brought down by Reece Macey, allowing Gunson the chance from 12 yards. But goalkeeper Amadeusz Skrzyniarz guessed right to making a diving stop.

Sami Makhloufi missed a gilt-edged chance to equalise at the other end, before Skrzyniarz brilliantly denied Ben Scorey's goalbound effort.

But it took just three minutes of the second half for the advantage to be doubled. Goalkeeper Billy Terrell sent the ball downfield for Beale to chase, and he made no mistake, slotting home one-on-one.

Jake Sinclair wasted a decent opening to make it 3-0, before Makhloufi was again off target for the Watersiders.

And the Blackfield captain's day went from bad to worse, sent off after receiving a second yellow card for dissent.

Fawzi Saadi's men conceded a third as Beale grabbed his hat-trick, converting after Aidan Shepherd crossed low from the right.

  • Sholing will take their place in Monday's draw, after overcoming Alton 3-1.

The Boatmen led 2-0 inside the opening 22 minutes, courtesy of a Dan Mason double.

The first came after he latched onto a Brad Targett knock-down, before then heading home a Ryan Cluett corner.

Alton pulled one back from the penalty spot, but Stu Green sealed the 3-1 win in the second half.

Lymington Town were also in action, progressing through with a 1-0 win at Barnstaple Town, thanks to a goal from Craig McAllister.

Both Sholing and Lymington receive £2,250 in prize money, and a place in Monday’s draw for the second qualifying round.
