Phil Ifil
FORMER Saints loanee Phil Ifil has joined Championship rivals Colchester for an undisclosed six-figure fee.
Ifil only recently returned to parent club Tottenham after a loan spell at Saints ended at the end of last month.
With certain add-ons, Ifil, 21, could become the Essex club's record transfer.
The U's have also signed defender Chris Coyne from cash-strapped Luton for a fee of around £350,000.
He is expected to go straight into the squad to face Bristol City on Saturday.
