IAN Baird has placed four Eastleigh players on the transfer-list with the accompanying message that the Silverlake Stadium is "no longer an all-inclusive five-star hotel"!

Goalkeeper James Pullen, centre-backs Karim El Salahi and Chris Collins and striker Ashan Holgate will have their names circulated ahead of tomorrow's big FA Trophy second round date at Crawley Town - the Spitfires' first ever venture into the last 32.

"It's been made clear to me by the club that I need to get the budget down and, for one reason or another, these four players seem to be our most dispensable assets," said Baird.

Baird's concern is that some of his players are not as hungry as he is to get Eastleigh into the Blue Square South play-offs - despite receiving five-star pampering from the Stoneham Lane club.

The former Saints, Leeds United and Middlesbrough striker, who joined Eastleigh on a three-year contract from Havant & Waterlooville at the beginning of October, said: "There has been a culture of easy-ozey at this football club which has to stop.

"My remit is to get Eastleigh promotion, be it this season or next season, and I will do that.

"But to make it happen, the players have got to be desperate to put their bodies on the line every Saturday and in every Tuesday and Thursday training session.

"They've had it too easy and been looked after too well without giving as much in return to the people who have looked after them.

"I'm desperate to get to the play-offs and I want everyone else to be as desperate as I am.

"I don't want us to be a happy' club prepared to sit in mid-table, win a few games, lose a few games and be content with that.

"This football club will no longer be an all-inclusive five-star hotel - and that's no detriment to the people off the field here."
