SAINTS are "on the trail" of Hull City's winger Keane Lewis-Potter, according to a report in The Sun.
The 20-year-old has played a key role for the Tigers this season in the Championship, featuring in every game and netting two goals, as well as one in the Carabao Cup.
Lewis-Potter found the net during Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United.
The report says "Saints' top scout Martyn Glover checked on the 20-year-old last week", adding how he will continue to monitor him.
Saints focused mainly on domestic signings during the last transfer window, bringing in the likes of Tino Livramento, Thierry Small and Adam Armstrong.
Lewis-Potter has scored 20 goals for Hull in his 83 appearances.
