FANS of popular football video game FIFA have been getting to grips with the latest player ratings released ahead of the new FIFA 22 game coming out on October 1.

One of the biggest game modes within the release is ‘Ultimate Team’, where every player on the database is given a card with an overall rating and six individual stats that determine how good they are.

Saints’ player ratings are out and it has thrown up a few surprises…

James Ward-Prowse is, as expected, the highest rated Saints player in the squad after he hit eight goals and eight assists during the 2020-21 Premier League season (81).

New signing Adam Armstrong is the fastest, with a pace rating of 90 out of 99 – Oriol Romeu is the slowest (41).

The most surprising overall rating however, is Tino Livramento rated at just 61 out of 99. Only Caleb Watts (60) and Dynel Simeu were given lower overall ratings by publisher EA Sports.

It’s worth mentioning that these ratings may have been decided before Livramento’s breakout start under Ralph Hasenhuttl, his first professional games of his career.

Nathan Tella is also surprisingly low at 66 rated, compared to Shane Long who has been given a 72, for example.

Both goalkeepers have been given the same score by EA, although Alex McCarthy is preferred as a seemingly clear number one by Hasenhuttl in real life.

Finally, Romain Perraud is the highest rated of all of Saints’ summer signings (77) and is in the top five highest players.

The ???/??? at the top of each card is the workrates rating they have been given - attacking/defensive.
