SOUTHAMPTON Gymnastics Club duo Sam Yarnall and Jasmine Banks have been crowned European champions.
Competing for Great Britain at the European Championship in Pesaro, Italy, the pair began with their dynamic routine, scoring 26.80.
They followed it up with a skilful balance routine, winning that section of the event with a score of 27.35.
Heading into the final in second place, Yarnall and Banks wowed the judges with their combined routine, awarded a score of 27.55 to take top spot.
Nervously looking on as the last three pairs took to the floor, none managed to topple the Southampton pair as they took the 2021 European title.
