SAINTS Women will face Swindon Town in the first round of the Vitality FA Women’s Cup at Snows Stadium.

The tie will take place on Sunday, November 14 at 1PM, with ticket details to be released by the club in due course.

Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side will have high expectations after they went on a superb run during last season’s competition, seeing off Bournemouth, Plymouth Argyle, Yeovil United and Championship side Lewes FC on their way to the last 16.

They then had a competitive match with Super League outfit Birmingham City, but the Blues were able to progress.

The Women’s side are currently on a hot streak following promotion to the National League in the summer, still carrying their 100% record in the division after seven games.

However, Ipswich have played two more and have also been victorious in every fixture and have therefore leapfrogged Saints at the top.

Saints will hope they can continue their fine of form before switching attentions to the FA Cup.

Eastleigh Ladies have been drawn to face AFC Stoneham on the same date.
