FOLLOWING a manic week of managerial movement, Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is now the 16th longest-serving manager in England’s top four footballing divisions.

Last week was the biggest week of managerial culling of the season so far, with no fewer than seven top bosses moving on from their club for one reason or another.

Norwich City, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough all parted ways with their managers over the weekend, while Spurs, Barnsley, Scunthorpe and Hartlepool are the other four.

Saints’ Hasenhuttl has come under his fair share of pressure during his tenure as boss with huge losing runs and two 9-0 defeats that will be etched into the dark side of the club’s history forever.

Gareth Ainsworth of League One Wycombe Wanderers is second, with nine years and 44 days. Other names on the list ahead of Hasenhuttl include Sean Dyche, Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, Tony Mowbray, Marcelo Bielsa and Thomas Frank.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has served just 13 days less than Hasenhuttl, although the Manchester United boss is now under considerable pressure following heavy defeats to both Liverpool and their city rivals.
