FORMER Saint Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been enjoying a renewed run of games with Liverpool and has sent a clear message to Jurgen Klopp, ahead of his former employer’s visit.
The 28-year-old midfielder rose through the youth ranks at Saints before emerging as a first teamer in League One, during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
After making 43 first team appearances, he then moved onto Arsenal before becoming a Premier League and Champions League winner with current side Kop.
But his career has often been hampered with injuries, only registering 13 league appearances last campaign and finding himself limited to just two during the 2018-19 season – the year in which they became European champions.

In an injury-depleted Reds midfield, Oxlade-Chamberlain has made six consecutive starts which began with the EFL Cup tie against Preston, and has included the securing of Champions League round of 16 qualification.
And ahead of his former side’s visit to Anfield on Saturday, November 27, he has sent a clear message to manager Klopp that he doesn’t want the run to end now.
“You want to play as much as you can," he told BT Sport following Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Porto.
"Games in succession is where the rhythm comes from, the fitness comes from and you grow into things.”
He added: “For me personally, it’s great. Thiago coming back from injury, I’m sure he’d say the same thing."
