RALPH Hasenhuttl hasn’t ruled out the possibility of further changes to his starting XI when Leicester visit St Mary’s on Wednesday, following an unsuccessful switch at Liverpool.

The Austrian boss made three personnel changes and a reset of formation for the 4-0 defeat on Merseyside, with Armando Broja, Romain Perraud and Lyanco all coming in to start.

However, it was revealed after the loss that Hasenhuttl again had late disruption to his plans with Ibrahima Diallo (injury) and Moi Elyounoussi (family matters) both becoming unavailable.

This followed the 2-1 defeat at Norwich, where all three of Stuart Armstrong, Moussa Djenepo and Nathan Redmond were ruled out just 24 hours before getting under way at Carrow Road.

Asked about whether he is planning more rotation following the game at Anfield, Hasenhuttl responded: “Let’s have a look at what we need.

“We said a lot this week to prepare for a good game (Liverpool) but it was in the end not a good week as we were struggling with a few things we hadn’t planned for.

“So we have now a few days to prepare for the Leicester game and we have to show a different performance at home."

He continued: “We can play better than the first-half, although we were facing a team on fire so when you are not at the highest level it looks like this, and it was tough for us Saturday.”

Although losing two consecutively on the road, Saints have put together a mini-unbeaten run of three at St Mary’s but could extend that to five with back-to-back home fixtures versus Leicester and Brighton this week.
