SAINTS B got back to winning ways after with two goals from Kazeem Olaigbe to come from behind and defeat West Brom 3-1 at Snows Stadium.

Luke Pearce had earlier equalized as David Horseman’s side bounced back from a 3-2 defeat at Sunderland to ensure that they have picked up five wins from their last six games in Premier League 2 Division Two.

Their midweek Premier League Cup contest midweek was postponed due to heavy fog impairing visibility, and Saints B started slowly on Sunday.

It was a young team all over, but in particular the defence with two 17-year-old full-backs in Lewis Payne and Thierry Small and Dynel Simeu and Oludare Olufunwa as the central pairing.

It was Baggies left-back Tom Fellows who opened the scoring inside the first 20 minutes, for the visitors, coming from a long-ball courtesy of goalkeeper Ronnie Hollingshead.

But Pearce grabbed the equaliser right on the stroke of half time, rounding the keeper to cooly finish after collecting from a Caleb Watts through ball.

Olaigbe then fired home from close-range seven minutes into the second period as the game flipped on its head, with young Australian Watts again the provider.

Pearce thought he had a second but his easy finish was ruled out for offside at the back-post.

Olaigbe then continued his fine goalscoring form on the counter 15 minutes from the close of play with his strike coming off both posts, securing all three points.
