RALPH Hasenhuttl revealed two fresh injury concerns ahead of Saints’ Premier League showdown with Brighton on Saturday.

The Austrian boss confirmed Jan Bednarek would not be featuring against the Seagulls, having picked up a calf injury against Leicester City.

The Poland international was replaced by Brazilian defender Lyanco against the Foxes.

Fraser Forster has also picked up a slight injury concern in training this week.

Stuart Armstrong remains out with a calf issue, while Jack Stephens is back available after a tendon injury.

Hasenhuttl said: “Fraser Forster had a little injury in the session he had with the guys that didn’t play.

“Jack is back, Stuey is still out and Jan Bednarek will also miss the weekend with a calf injury.”

Saints go into the contest off the back of just one point picked up from a possible nine.

Quizzed on what the mood was like in training, Hasenhuttl said: “There’s no enjoying training because there is none! We cannot train at the moment because we only have to recover.

“The players that didn’t play did a light session.

“We had a meeting after the game we showed the good things we made and also the part of our game which is not on the highest level at the moment.

“We have conceded eight goals in the past three games, this is massive. Okay against Liverpool, this is not a game I count but the other two games we conceded goals.

“I thought we have put this away from our game and it’s now back on the list of things we have to solve.”

Brighton have not won in their past nine Premier League contests.
